Abstract

|
The contents of daidzein and puerarin in Puerariae Radix and availabilities of the components in crude drug preparations were determined by HPLC.
The conditions of HPLC analysis were as follows : column; ¥ì-Bondapak C_(18) mobile phase; MeOH¡¤H©üO(25:75) and detector; UV 254nm.
The results were as follows; the contents of daidzein (free form), daidzein (by hydrolysis) and puerarin in Puerariae Radix were 0.04~0.06%, 0.3~0.6%, and 2.8~3.9% respectively, and the availabilities of puerarin in decoction process were 90.7~98. 2%
